tricia osborne oil painting

Based in East Anglia, Tricia explores the beauty of the English landscape through her en-plein-air oil paintings. Inspired by the colours and changing light, she strives to encapsulate the fleeting moments in time, the essence of a place and the ever-changing seasons.

Works seen in this section include scenes inspired by rural life and rare breeds,     especially heavy horses and the Suffolk Punches synonymous with the East Anglian region.

She is an Associate of the Society of Equestrian Artists.

Some of these works have been used for greeting cards, which are sold under the brand name ‘A Rare Breed’™

In addition to Tricia’s passion for painting, she also dedicates her time in the studio to sculpting, preferably working from life. Whether it is capturing a pose or gesture or simply striving to achieve a lifelike representation in clay, she finds the process challenging but immensely rewarding. The resulting work is either fired or cast in bronze.

Ceramic sculptures of artist Robert Hooke. Working with a life model, Bob tries to create a lightly stylised sculpt. Capturing the essence of the pose and sitter. Working in clay, the finished sculpture is fired in a kiln. Paint effects are added to increase contrast and aesthetic appeal.

I'm at my happiest painting on location, trying to record the moment and hoping to convey to the viewer a sense of the joy I had in painting that scene.

As a portrait painter I always try and capture something of the sitters character.

A beautiful colouring book, signed by the artist, reflecting the joys of the British countryside. The art work is delightful and will be such fun to colour. The paper quality is very good and should take a variety of media. It arrived promptly and very well packaged. Many thanks I look forward to many Happy Hours of colouring.
